About the event
The star of the evening is the sensual Liz Rosa (BRA). Jazz singer, composer and producer Liz Rosa blends the rich Brazilian tradition with jazz in true cosmopolitan fashion. Born in Natal and travelling between Rio and New York, Rosa rose to the front ranks at a young age in the club scenes of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro with her debut album, produced by Ricardo Silveira. A sensual, explosive delivery and a captivating stage presence show Liz Rosa at her best. The band features the brilliant drummer Jussi Lehtonen, pianist Holger Marjamaa and bassist Timo Hirvonen. The repertoire of the Liz Rosa Quartet includes great gems of Brazilian music as well as the band members' own material.
