Grand Opening: Sinne Eeg / Uotila / Marjamaa / Hirvonen

Koko Jazz Club's grand opening will be celebrated on Saturday 3 October at 19:00 – with the best of Scandinavia! Sinne Eeg's magnificent voice and stage charisma have filled the world's great stages in recent years. Hailing from Denmark and having broken through on the American jazz scene, the singer is a tradition-conscious interpreter of jazz whose own repertoire and stories have won admirers on every continent. Her album with her recording pianist Jakob Christoffersen, Shikiori (2025), was recorded in Japan and has gathered glowing reviews.

At the new club's opening in Ullanlinna, the bass will be played by Eeg's long-time collaborator Timo Hirvonen, who has steered Koko Jazz Club from the very beginning. On drums our own Finnish superstar Jukkis Uotila, and on loan from across the gulf, Estonian Holger Marjamaa, representing the very best of jazz pianism.
