The Aleksi Heinola Quartet consists of top-of-the-line players from Scandinavia and Europe. The sound of the group is rich and energetic, yet elegant, packed with lots of swingin’ groove and fine interplay based in the firm roots of the timeless & hip 60’s Hard Bop tradition with a modern twist.

The quartet recorded its first album in September 2021. The album, that will be released by

Jazzaggression Records in 2022, consists of both original compositions by the members of the band, as well as tunes by legendary masters of the music, such as Wayne Shorter, Joe Henderson and Thelonious Monk.

This combination of musical flavors is exactly what you would hear in a live performance by this group. The flexibility and knowledge of the musicians allows the quartet to have a wide repertoire of music at hand, which gives the group a sense of reedom and spontaneity to make every concert a unique experience for both the musicians and the audience.
